Australian tech start-up JobScope has announced the launch of a secure multi-platform job application management solution to empower jobseekers around the world.
The platform, which is available on the Apple App Store, Google Play Store and via a web-based application, assists users by streamlining the job application management process and providing insightful information to assist in securing a role matched to their skills and experience.
“We understand there’s a significant time commitment to searching for and securing the right job – it’s in many ways a full-time job itself. JobScope simplifies this process for our community of users by helping track applications more efficiently and reducing the complexity that comes with the process,” says founder and technology expert Daryl Peter.
Recent research suggests that active jobseekers spend up to 10 hours per week on searching for and applying for jobs, with the average jobseeker typically applying for up to 10 jobs before being invited to interview and at least 20 jobs before securing just one offer.
The platform also provides insights into employment trends, including salary benchmarking, and access to expert career tips and advice to help users optimise the application, interview and negotiation stages of the process.
According to Mr Peter, the application processes can be opaque, which he says can be demoralising for jobseekers.
“It’s common for jobseekers to apply for hundreds if not thousands of jobs in their lifetime. To this day, the process lacks transparency and often provides limited or no feedback for jobseekers. JobScope aims to change that starting with the application management process and eventually with the search and submission process itself.”
Mr Peter says JobScope’s mission is to help jobseekers navigate the process with confidence and ease, and to foster a fairer and more transparent job market for all job seekers. In fact, transparency and fairer treatment of candidates is one of the driving principals of JobScope, with a focus on features designed to reduce the time spent applying for jobs, while improving its community of users’ access to the information required to make informed career decisions.
The app is available to download on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
